Analysis of the causes of copper tube drawing breakage: Strange sounds are produced during drawing, there is a lack of lubrication effect, the die core becomes rough, the tube is scratched, the load on the drawing machine increases, and the yield of finished products decreases, etc.
Causes of brass tubes:
1.The previous process did not comply with the operating procedures, and there was a problem at a certain link, such as acid washing carbonization (hydrogen embrittlement), and the brass tube broke during drawing.
2. The saponification temperature is too low or too high, the concentration is insufficient, the saponification adsorption capacity is inadequate, or the soap solution is acidified and loses its lubricating effect.
3. The phosphating process does not meet the standards, and the transition (too old) causes the phosphating film to fall off during drawing, failing to achieve the purpose of saponification, which results in continuous strange sounds during cold drawing.
4. Insufficient phosphating causes damage to the die core and the inner wall of the tube, increasing the load during drawing.
Prevention and elimination methods:
1.Each process is strictly controlled, including the concentration, temperature and time of pickling, as well as frequent rinsing and water replacement.
2. Control the saponification temperature and concentration to keep the soap solution in the tank clean.
3. Regularly check the total acidity and free acidity of the phosphating solution to form an adequate phosphating film.
