How to maintain the surface of brass tubes
The requirements for the surface of brass tubes should be continuously studied and summarized to improve the ability to treat the surface of brass tubes. We can use solvents and emulsions to process steel. They can remove dust, oil stains and other substances on it. However, these substances cannot remove rust and oxide scale on it. Therefore, they can only play an auxiliary role in anti-corrosion. We can use wire brushes and other tools to polish it and remove substances like rust on it.

Nowadays, many industries related to brass tubes have achieved certain development, especially the development of industries such as power and Marine industries, which has provided greater development space for high-precision brass tubes. Brass tubes originally have a very good ability to resist corrosion and cracking. However, if the force is too great or they come into contact with some corrosive substances, corrosion and cracking may still occur. There have been cases where the brass tubes in the condenser's empty suction zone broke. Some of the copper tubes were subjected to relatively large tensile stress. Additionally, there was a considerable amount of ammonia in the empty suction zone. After a certain period of time, the stress corrosion became increasingly severe, eventually causing the copper tubes to break. In recent years, during the inspection of the vortex in the copper tubes of the condensers in use, cracks were also found on the steam side of some copper tubes. Among them, many were brass tubes in the air suction area. The cracks were generally horizontal, but some were longitudinal. Some cracks were very small and difficult to detect during the inspection, causing unnecessary damage. When the condenser equipment is not in use, due to the presence of water inside and the direct contact between the brass tubes and the air cut, the corrosion resistance of the equipment when it is out of service is much stronger than that during operation. If it is not used for more than three days, the water inside should be drained completely to keep the copper door dry. If the operation is to be stopped for a very short period of time, let the circulating pump continue to work to prevent the suspended solids in the circulating water from settling down and reduce the corrosion capacity of the condenser. After inspecting the condenser equipment, it is known that the operation status of the equipment is good, the standards are recorded, and the brass tubes of the condenser are used and maintained in the correct way.
